What You Will Learn At This Course
The location, function, vessels, valves, layers, structures, relationship to the nervous system, and general relevance to life are all covered in Coronary Anatomy and Physiology. Electrophysiology: waves, complexes, intervals, segments, polarization, depolarization, and repolarization. problems with the heart’s electrical system. Lead placement includes identifying each lead’s name, function, and location on an ECG as well as troubleshooting any malfunctioning leads. In class, practice up to 20 real EKGs. Technical Aspects: Functions, safety, controls, and separating rhythms from artifacts. EKG Routine: Complete the procedure. Patient identification via printout and record. Calculating heart rate and distinguishing between the three different kinds of irregularities in rhythm. techniques for figuring out heart rate on any of several EKG rhythm strips. Fundamentals of Rhythm Strip Interpretation: A methodical approach to fundamental heart rate and rhythm strip interpretation.

This was a great class to learn about phlebotomy. It was straight to the point and very clear. Dane was a great instructor who really knows what he's doing. His experience as an EMT gives him great background to teach the class and give real world scenarios of what you might face in the medical field. Basic EKG Course
Our Basic EKG course is a hands-on introduction to performing electrocardiograms in a clinical setting. You’ll learn what an EKG actually measures, how to set up and operate the machine, and how to prepare a patient for the procedure — including skin prep, positioning, and explaining the process to keep patients comfortable. From there, you’ll practice accurate lead placement for a standard 12-lead tracing, learn to recognize common problems like artifact and loose leads, and troubleshoot them before the tracing goes out. You’ll also learn the documentation side of the job: labeling the tracing correctly, recording patient information, and getting a clean, complete report into the chart for the physician to review. No prior medical experience is required. This course trains you to produce accurate, usable tracings — interpretation and diagnosis remain the responsibility of the physician.
